HSPA 3G Universal Cellular Alarm Communicator HSPA Cellular Alarm Communicator PowerSeries How do I stop the beeping. This code is yellow in color and a exclamation point in the middle. Is it even possible. It is intended to call a central station. You could put your phone number in the panel, but all you would hear when you answered would be sounds similar to a fax machine. There are external voice dialers available that you could trigger from your panel that would call you with a recording. The link will take you to the DSC page. You'll need to look for the model of your panel, not the PK5501 keypad. Hope this helps.Unable to enter trouble menu How can I turn this off please. We do not use the alarm. I turned the main power switch off for it, but still beeps. I also just got a new iinet modem of which plugs into the phone line. Would this be causing the alarm to keep beeping? Thanku DSC system Answer questions, earn points and help others. Anyway is there a way I can re-program my system to NOT make that test call?Hope that helps. I have the installer code, just need the key strokes to disable the comms check. Thanks for your help.

MurrayBeer 4U2 MurrayAnyway now I can't arm the alarm by entering the normal code, nothing happens. I can only arm and disarm using the remote. The installer code doesn't work anymore either, it was a 4 number code but now it doesn't give the error beeps until I enter 6 numbers. Any idea what I did wrong. Is there any hope now. Mr Ron, can you help? Forgot which side. You must have changed location 701.How do I check to see if everything IS normal. I have 3 PIR's, 1 smoke detector and 1 heat detector. Thanks for your help so far! Beer 4U2Turn the alarm on, wait for the exit delay to expire and walk in front of the motions. They should all show up as alarms on the keypad. As for the Smoke, blow some smoke in it then blow some air in it. The heat you can't really test. I usually short the terminals on the back to check the circuit.Has the Powerseries 433, dont know what type of motherboard i will look that up when i get home. I know some of the commands to do certain things but it doesnt help if I don't have the manual nor the installer code. I dont know how it happened but my wife turned off the chime alert. Managed to get it back on, dont ask me how. Now the trouble light has been on for a very long time and DSC tech support is not the greatest company to work with. Would like to be able to reset the alarm code which the person never gave me, only the key clickers, and set some other things up. Any suggestions or help. I am dying over here. Plus it is very cold atmThat may create a second problem. What is the installers code. The default for a power series panel is usually 5555 or 5010 unless it has been changed. If successful the the keypad will make a positive chime and the program light will flash depending on keypad. If unsuccessful then the keypad will give a long negative tone. That means try another installer code. Try this and let us know if you get into programming. We can then tell you how to program a new code.

If not then we can tell you how to default the panel to reset everything.Once I get home I will try what you suggested and also get the info off the MB and post that as well. I was thinking about replacing it with the newer model that took its place. I will let you know asap. Once again thanks for the suggestions and the quick reply. If you have no phone line then these lights will be on.You probally have a wireless device with a dead battery. Being that you don't know the master code or installer code. The only way to get the master code is to default the panel. It will give you instructions on how to default your panel. WARNING!! defaulting panel will erase all programming and you will have to program everything from hand. Its not easy to program with a 5501 keypad(PK5500 is recommended). Also you seem to have wireless devices so you will have to re-enroll them. I would reccomend to have a professional do it. But if you got nothing to lose, go for it. Might be a fun project. Ask more questions if needed.Just as the system instructions are written for technicians, and not lay persons. Yes, it stinks, but thats the way it works (right now). It really has a lot to do with liability.I do not have the manual.I get the double beeps, indicating trouble condition 3 (telephone line fault). I don't have a landline telephone. Is there a way to bypass the sensor that causes trouble conditon 3?My house is pretty.BG will not give it to me.I recently moved into an apartment with a network multifamily alarm Sy.I am looking for the installation manual for FA1600C panel, and what is the default installer code. Also I would like to know the different between 1600c and 1660C panels? Thanks a lot for your help. We welcome your comments and. Questions of a Do It Yourself nature should beAll rights reserved. Juan 4.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, everything is working as expected. I only give this four stars because DSC should make an effort to produce clearer installation manuals. I had to figure out several setting that needded adjustment for this keypad to work as they were not clearly mentioned either in the keypad's manual or in the panel's manual. In my opinion these are the pros and cons.

Pros: - Includes builtin wireless receiver - Replaces the original basic LED keypad that came with my system - Is compatible with legacy low end systems such as the PC585 - Convenient text messages to describe system status and configuration tasks that would otherwise require you to decode binary numbers or guess what flashing LEDs mean - Very well built, with quality plastics and neat edges - Easy installation - Can be configured to display system messages in English, French and Spanish Cons (actually not cons but aspects to improve): - Installation manual is not clear in some aspects - Entering custom text (to better describe a zone instead of having just the zone number) can be a challenge, basically because letters do not have the same correspondence to numbers as in a normal telephone keypad Overall I would recommend this product.Full english keyboard is great compared to the PK5501 that this replaced. The DSC system is a lot nicer and definitely more user friendly - but I don't think I would have had the same experience without getting one of these RFK5500 keypads. The great thing about the RFK5500 is that is allows you to interact with the programming interface of the DSC alarm system instead of just typing in codes and not seeing any feedback. You always know exactly where you are and what the current options are instead of having to pay strict attention to where you are in the programming sequence. It also lets you scroll through options and pick from menus in many cases. In short, the DSC alarm system is MUCH easier to program through this full-message keypad. The other great thing is that the RFK5500 has the ability to let you name your zones. Once you've named your zones using the RFK5500, you can broadcast those names to the other controllers attached to your alarm system and they'll use the descriptive names as well. Although other controllers can use the zone names from the RFK5500, they are not capable of creating those named zones.

In my system, I have two of the PK5501 controllers and one RFK5500. In my opinion, there isn't any real need to upgrade more than one of the keypads using the more expensive full-message versions. If you're installing a new DSC alarm system - I highly recommend adding one of the RFK5500 or PK5500 full-message keypads to your system!I can effectively cut off any and all rf communication to sensors. How, you ask. Simple. Buy aEtekcity 5-Channel Wireless Remote Control for Outlet Receivers and hold one of the buttons while entering your house while the system is armed. This will jam door sensors, motion sensors and glass break sensors. The device I listed above has an effective range of 15 to 30 feet. You can mount your own wireless motion sensors and save money. The RF5132-433 wireless alarm receiver connects to the four wire keybus on your DSC PowerSeries security system and supports all 433 MHz series wireless devices from DSC. All wireless alarm zones programmed into the RF5132-433 wireless alarm receiver are fully supervised for wireless communication integrity. The RF5132-433 wireless alarm receiver module is compatible with all PowerSeries alarm control panels.
